Independent lab

An independent lab on the south coast of England.

Things are designed, made and maintained in one place. They go out when they are ready, and they are looked after long after that.

About

Force Zero Labs exists to make a small number of things properly rather than a large number quickly.

Work happens end to end in one place. Whoever designs a thing is the same person who makes it and the same person who answers the email about it a year later.

That keeps the range deliberately small. Everything has to earn its place, carry its own weight, and stay maintained rather than quietly go stale.

It also means decisions get made on what is right for the work itself, not on what a roadmap committed to eighteen months ago.

Approach

Built to be owned

What someone uses should belong to them. Where something can be done locally it is done locally, and information stays where it was created unless there is a real reason for it to travel.

Honest pricing

Clear prices, stated plainly, with no advertising and nothing sold about the people on the other end. If something costs money to run, that is said out loud rather than paid for sideways.

Finished, then maintained

Releases go out when they are genuinely done. After that the work shifts to keeping things current, fixing what breaks, and resisting the urge to add weight for its own sake.

Small on purpose

There is no growth target and no need to become something larger. Staying small is what makes the rest of it possible.

For support, licensing, press or anything else, email directly. Messages are read by the person who does the work.

Enquiries about something specific are usually answered fastest through its own support page, but this address reaches the same place either way.
